I am an ex South African who settled in Canada several years ago. I have always been in the production and developing side of business. My passion began with the construction of coating plants for reflective tape, and producing glueing and lamination machines. In Canada my vehicle is parked outside 365 days a year. My problem arose in the winter months when my windshield was covered constantly with snow and ice. Not only did I need additional time to clear this ice, it damaged the rubber around the window with the ice scraper. It was through this situation that the idea for developing this windshield cover was born. The patent pending windshield cover is made with water repellent material which has magnets embedded in the material. Once the shield is placed in the correct position, the magnets adhere to the metal parts of the vehicle. The two flaps are inserted into the open door, which is then closed to prevent the cover from moving. During or after a heavy snow storm, all one has to do is remove the flaps from the doors, give the shield a shake (the ice will not stick to the water-repellent material), fold it up and place it in the trunk of the vehicle, and you're ready to go! The windshield cover is so simple to install, and fits on the outside of your vehicle; internal magnets attatch themselves the metal frame of your car. Insert the fabric flaps inside the front vehicle doors and the Velcro will adhere to the cloth in your car, or behind the sun visor. Close the car door, and you will be protected from both the snow and ice. Reverse the installation prcedures, shake off the ice, and store it in the bag. The cover comes with its own bag. The bag can also be used to cover your side view mirror, and additionally as a glove to wipe the side windows free of frost and snow.
